Unlike many converted sailing catamarans, the Brava 45 has been designed from scratch as a power boat and features a raked bow with a classical sweeping sheer to create a dry boat with timeless styling.
The excellent reputation earned by Peter Brady’s designs as fuel-efficient long range cruisers and exceptional sea boats has been further enhanced by the inclusion of his latest technological breakthrough, "Controlled Vapour Dampening" (pats pend). Full length keels protect the stern gear and allow beaching for inspection or maintenance. They also provide superb tracking in a following sea.
The engines, tanks and other major weight items are located amidships to minimise pitching and trim changes, with the engines in their own compartment accessible from the rear through cockpit hatches and through saloon and galley floors. Safety has been afforded the highest priority throughout the design process and multiple watertight compartments make the vessel virtually unsinkable.
The Brava 45 stability, shallow draft and maneuverability combine with multiple entertaining areas and domestic sized facilities to provide a unique lifestyle experience. The stylish contemporary interior is light, bright and low maintenance but with enough varnished timber to create that warm boating ambience.
The Brava 45 allows a completely different style of power boat interior, as it is not bound by the traditional corridor-like monohull arrangement. It differs from most existing catamarans because the interior layout has not been dictated by the rig, chain plates and deck gear placement.
The Brava 45 is an insight into the future of power boat design. Its fuel efficiency and innovative design place it at the forefront of modern ocean-going power catamarans. It has been tested and refined at every stage of development and its performance and reliability bear witness to its safety and seaworthiness.
